Source: TV3network.com - One person is feared dead in an accident involving a team of media personnel attached to the presidency.
The accident is believed to have occurred around Dodowa.
The journalists were returning from the Volta Region Thursday afternoon.
Details of the accident are sketchy, but reports suggest one of the two buses carrying the media personnel somersaulted severally after a suspected tyre burst.
An individual on the trip has confirmed to Tv3network.com that one person is feared dead whiles several others who are severely injured have been sent to the hospital.
The identity of the supposed dead person has been given as Samuel Nuamah, a presidential reporter with the Ghanaian Times Newspaper.
TV3's cameraman, Jubal Amedator, who was in one of the buses that was not directly affected told TV3, the accident occurred close to the Dodowa Forest.
"We went to Ho to give a coverage of the president and then when we were coming, we were in two buses, one with cameramen in which I was and the other with the reporters. When we got to the Dodowa Forest area, we were in front but our driver couldn't see the second car so we turned back and saw that the other car was off the road into the bush. It was terrible; there is one dead and the rest are in a critical condition. The President and his entourage are still in Ho because we had to return to come and work on the story. The vehicle is badly damaged; the car entered the bush into a swampy place that was so muddy", a traumatized Jubal narrated.
About twenty journalists are said to have been in the Ford bus when the incident occurred.
They were returning to Accra from Ho where President John Mahama had attended the annual convention of the EP Church.
