Source: adomonline.com - Minority Leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has cautioned President Mahama and his team to stop playing with the hearts of Ghanaians and be ‘serious’ in discharging their duties.
According to the Minority Leader, President Mahama is running the affairs of the country as if it is a joke, and taking the people of Ghana for a ride.
Reacting to the inclusion of the flagbearer and founder of the Ghana Freedom Party [GFP], Akua Donkor on President Mahama's recent trip to Italy, the Member of Parliament for Suame described the Mahama-led administration as ‘incompetent’.
Though government has justified her inclusion saying her presence among government’s delegation was as a result of her farming experience, Madam Akua Donkor insists those questioning her inclusion do not understand her.
"I played a vital role there [in Italy] than even most government appointees there,” she maintained.
Photos published by the Flagstaff House Communications Bureau which showed Akua Donkor among the presidential entourage have gone viral on social media.
The GFP flagbearer claims she traveled with the President because she is one of his special advisors and a trusted friend.
The NPP, however, believes since the trip was to look for new technologies in agro-processing, it would have been prudent for key experts in that sector, as well as industry players to accompany the President
Nevertheless, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu believes government's decision to include Akua Donkor on such an important official visit shows how incompetent the NDC government has become.
“Mahama is always taking Ghanaians for granted. How can you travel all the way to Italy with such a ‘comic-politician’ while there are other innovative minds in this country?
“This clearly shows how incompetent the government is. Enough of the comic relief in our governance because it’s just too much,” he stated on an Accra radio station on Wednesday.
