Source: GNA  -  An Accra Fast Track High Court has granted the application filed by the Convention People's Party (CPP) to join the case involving Food Sovereignty Ghana (FSG), the Attorney General (A-G) and others.

The defendants in the case are the National Biosafety Authority, Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen, Ministry of Food And Agriculture and the National Bio-safety Committee.

Initially, the suit was against the National Bio-safety Committee and the Ministry of Food And Agriculture before the A-G was joined.

The Fast Track High Court, presided over by Mr Bright Essel Mensah, has adjourned the case to enable other interested parties to join.

Earlier, the Court granted an interlocutory injunction restraining the Ministry from commercialising the sale of genetically modified foods in the country.

IMPORTANT! Educate your people, about the dangers to Health and Life! That`s what is GOOD in Ghana - Don`t destroy it!
Source: B&FT  -  A large chunk of vegetables on the open markets is reported to be highly chemical-contaminated due to the misapplication of agro-chemicals during production, B&FT has been told.

The reports of contamination compiled by the B&FT, on a visit to a number of famous vegetable producing areas and markets in the middle-belt of the country, show that some vegetable farmers and traders deliberately apply chemicals to the produce in a bid to make them attractive to consumers.

Liar telling Ghanaians that GenFood is save: Prof. Walter Sandow Alhassan
Here is just some PROVE against GMOs (Gen Food)!
This guy, twisting the facts,  that there are no " tangible evidence to prove its threat to humans..."
What EVIDENCE, has HE or other [......] got, that GMOs don`t pose a health risk? NONE! NIL! NADA! NOTHING! NIX!  This guy is an liar in front of the Lord!

For example, a UK government-funded study demonstrated that rats fed a GM potato developed potentially pre-cancerous cell growth, damaged immune systems, partial atrophy of the liver, and inhibited development of their brains, livers and testicle..
Rats fed GM corn had problems with blood cell, kidney and liver formation.[8] Mice fed GM soy had problems with liver cell formation[9] and pancreatic function,[10] and the livers of rats fed GM canola were heavier. Pigs fed GM corn on several Midwest farms developed false pregnancies or sterility. Cows fed GM corn in Germany died mysteriously. And twice the number of chickens died when fed GM corn compared to those fed natural corn.  > See also our Special, about GMOs (Gen-"Food") <

Source: Daily Graphic Ghana  -  The Former Director General of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Prof. Walter Sandow Alhassan, has called on Ghanaian farmers to ignore claims against Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) by a section of the public.

Public advised to desist from consuming carcasses

2/13/2015

Comments

"How is anthrax contracted?

Anthrax can infect humans in three ways. The most common is infection through the skin, which causes an ugly sore that usually goes away without treatment. Humans and animals can ingest anthrax from carcasses of dead animals that have been contaminated with anthrax. Ingestion of anthrax can cause serious, sometimes fatal disease. The most deadly form is inhalation anthrax. If the spores of anthrax are inhaled, they migrate to lymph glands in the chest where they proliferate, spread, and produce toxins that often cause death."...

Farmers urged to reject anti-GMO groups

2/4/2015

Comments

Source: myjoyonline.com  -  The Former Director General of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research Ghana (CSIR), Prof. Walter Sandow Alhassan has urged farmers to reject claims against Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) seeds by anti-GMO groups that it is harmful and accepting it would amount to “seed colonisation and seed slavery".
According to him, those groups do not have any scientific proof or knowledge to offer when it comes to Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) technology therefore should be abhorred.

***** GhanaWeb News:  It is the other way round! They Have To Prove, That Gen Food Is Safe! But They Can`t!
That so called "Council for Scientific and Industrial Research Ghana (CSIR)" and Prof. Walter Sandow Alhassan, do not have any scientific proof or knowledge, that Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) is not harmful!
There have been many real researches, indicating clearly, that GMOs is harmful!
Still - this kind of "food" is not permitted, for human consumption, in Germany or Britain, nor in France!
Up to date, yes - there is an Gen Manipulated rice crop available in US, but no farmer has used it yet, due the risks involved. Also, there is a very strong opposition against GMOs in USA, and all over the World!
Do you think, the Queen of United Kingdom or any of her offspring's, would ever consume Gen Food...? Then read below official statement...: (New window)
The British Queen  - According to the Gardens Manager for Buckingham Palace: The use of pesticides (fertilizers) is kept to a minimum, and ... She used liquid seaweed instead of chemical fertilizers and garlic...!  The Queen knows, what is best, and HEALTHY!!!  Are we PIGS?????

Prof. Walter Sandow Alhassan, and the "Council for Scientific and Industrial Research Ghana (CSIR)" acting as DOOR-OPENER, to flood the Ghanaian and African market with GMOs, from USA!
Our opinion: Ghana - stay away from Gen-Food! Show this BUNCH, the RED CARD!
