A robbery operation has been foiled by the police, with one of the suspected robbers severely suffering a gunshot in the right ankle, an incident which occurred on the Bole-Bamboi highway in the Savannah Region.

The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested three suspected mobile money robbers at Santoe in Accra.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Frederick Adu Anim, the Regional Police Commander gave their names as Jeremiah Osei, Mason, Bismarck Wiafe, trotro driver, and Francis Norvor alias Mugabe, unemployed.
A police officer in the Savannah Region has shot a masked man who allegedly attempted to rob a van full of assorted drinks at Tinga near Banda Nkwanta in the Bole District.
Seidu Salifu, 25, was shot in the ankle by a policeman who was escorting the goods on January 18 at about 12:00 p.m.
